Ear Disease
Ear diseases can be the result of a direct nuisance to the ear or they can occur as a result of infections of other parts of the body such as the nose. It is very important to manage ear diseases as early as possible otherwise serious repercussions can occur which may lead to hearing loss, disturbance in the balancing system of the body, or even infections of other sites in the body. •CSOM(Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media) - It is characterized by ear discharge and perforation in the ear drum and this persists for a very long time. If not controlled the infection can lead to facial paralysis or infections in the brain. This disease is a silent type of disease. Patients may not be aware of the existence of the disease and come to know only when complications occur.
•ASOM( Acute Suppurative Otitis Media) - It is an acute infection of the ear characterized by fever, very severe ear pain, and sometimes hearing loss of a mild degree. If not treated on time, there may occur rupture of the eardrum with the release of pus and may convert into a chronic type of infection.
